Here is something all those articles out there telling you to quit your job to travel don’t explain to you – you need to get ready for it first. And I don’t mean setting up savings or any other financial cushion to fall on if something doesn’t go according to plan. That they tell you! Physically, though, not everyone is ready to endure a life of travel. If you’re used to letting go of things you can’t control at home, it’s not that simple where you’re on the road in an unfamiliar country surrounded by people who barely speak your language.
I had a blast in my first couple of months but that was only because I was on my home turf. I was still in my own country, even if I didn’t know anyone in the cities I was traveling through, and I hadn’t gotten through the hassles of long haul flights and jet lag. One week after leaving my home country and landing in Thailand, I was a mess. I was having trouble focusing, my sleep schedules were all messed up, and I just wanted to drop everything and go home.
Then I remembered that somewhere in my backpack I had kept a pack of Chaga Earth organic Chaga tea my friend had given me as a farewell present. I remember her telling me something about boosting my immune system and working as a powerful anti-inflammatory. I hadn’t paid much attention to it at the time but right then it seemed like exactly what I needed. I managed to boil some water at the hostel where I was staying and drank my very first cup of wild Chaga mushroom tea. Would you believe me if I told you that it changed my life and the rest of my trip?
Maybe it was the comfort of a hot cup of tea that made me feel instantly better but I’d rather believe it was the amazing organic Chaga benefits that immediately gave my body the incredible boost of energy it needed.
